Nov 19, 2010 CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility Examples
The big guys use this language: Corporate Social Responsibility. A commitment to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of our workforce and their families as well as the local community at large.
The little guys (like us) call it Giving Back.
Wilsonwest has put together quite a few large-scale corporate social responsibility conferences for our clients, but for the past few months, I have been helping Gateway High School, a local public charter school, to raise some much needed money. When I asked some of my industry friends to help out by donating some things to be sold at the school auction, I was overwhelmed by all the giving. Not only did they give – they gave with generosity, spirit, and more. Never underestimate the importance of social responsibility of business; here are just a few social responsibility examples that meant a lot to our team and to the Gateway High School.
Corporate Social Responsibility Examples
Dan Ripley of Daniel Ripley Catering delivered six bottles of the best champagne, carefully packed and presented in glorious style (that’s him)
Blueprint Studios loaned (and delivered) incredibly beautiful decor and furnishings
Trigger Design created our stunning event logo and invitations
Meadowood, Hotel Healdsburg, The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay and The Palace Hotel donated stays
Rubicon Estate and Artesa offered up VIP Tours
Liz Valencia of Chanel at Saks Fifth Avenue put together a custom gift basket
Ken Swyt – the never ending source of vases, flowers and more
Copymat not only printed but delivered it to my car
THANK YOU to all of these wonderful friends in the event and hospitality world – the kids at Gateway High School are very grateful and the big guys would say you behaved quite responsibly.
